Midland Heart Birmingham Inclusion HUB Supported Housing Service is an accommodation based service accommodating individuals as well as managing communal areas and offices. We have a number of posts that will be in located in Lozells Road. The service is staffed 24 hours per day and accommodates individuals – male and female 16 years and over who are homeless. Midland Heart provides housing management and landlord services to all customers living on site.
Services will be delivered to vulnerable people to enable them to gain the skills needed to gain and maintain independent living skills to enable them to move on into permanent accommodation and sustain a tenancy effectively. The successful candidate will work as part of a rota system – including working every other weekend and also bank holiday. Working to deliver intensive housing related support services to individuals to enable them to move forward with their lives. Support will be tailored to meet the individuals’ needs. Successful candidates will work as part of a team and on their own at times to provide high quality relevant services to this client group –to include interviewing potential customers, completing risk and needs assessments and support plans and carrying out regular reviews and supporting them to move on in a positive way. Individuals moving into the service may present with drug and alcohol use, mental health issues, debt and benefit issues, and offending behaviour as well as other issues requiring support.
