Applications should be submitted by post by the deadline stated.

The following information should be submitted:

  • A completed application form
  • A robust 3 year business plan - including images of your product
  • The previous year’s business accounts (if applicable)
  • The last 6 months bank statements if business accounts are not available
  • The last 6 months of payslips if engaged in other employment
  • A certificate of registered Self Employment
  • Proof of eligibility to remain in the UK

How will my applicant be assessed?

After your application has been received it will be assessed using the following criteria:

  • Are you eligible to live / work in the UK?
  • Is your business eligible for the scheme?
  • Can you afford to sustain your tenancy?
  • Are your business & marketing plan and finance forecast robust and realistic?

You will then be invited for interview before Midland Heart makes an offer of accommodation.

You should note that when you apply and regularly throughout the tenancy you will be asked to provide information about your business growth and success. This information will be held within the guidelines of the Midland Heart Data Protection policy and will not be shared with a third party. We have been funded by the government and needs to provide regular progress reports to meet its contractual obligations.
