Leicester Development Finalist for ‘Deal of the Year’ Award
Midland Heart’s plans to re-develop the site of a historic hosiery factory as part of a £58 million Leicester regeneration scheme has been recognised as a finalist in this year’s Insider Midlands Residential Property Awards.
The short-list for the ‘Deal of the Year’ category recognises our plans to provide 395 new homes across three disused sites in Leicester City, whilst retaining some of the site’s legacy.
Working in partnership with developer Westleigh Partnerships, the project will bring much-needed new homes to the area across a mix of tenures, including private sale, market rent through Cygnet Property Management, a subsidiary of Midland Heart and importantly homes for affordable rent.
Chris Miller, our Director for Development said: “We are pleased that our pioneering scheme to provide much-needed affordable housing in Leicester has been recognised in this way.
“This is an exciting time for the city and we are looking forward to breathing new life into an area which has been left behind by the regeneration happening around it.
“We very much look forward to the announcement of the winners on 8 June.”
