Midland Heart has been named as a finalist in this year’s Housing Innovation awards.

Our in-house maintenance team Property Care, which serves customers living in the Birmingham area has been shortlisted in the most innovative in-house repairs contractor category.

Since the in-house maintenance team was launched in 2012 and then expanded in 2014, Property Care has improved customer satisfaction and transformed efficiency with the use of state-of-the-art repair scheduling systems and mobile technology to manage and monitor the repairs service.

Greg Lakin, Head of Property Care from Midland Heart said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted this is great endorsement of the hard work the team have put in over the last 12 months to ensure our customers receive an efficient quality service in an ever increasingly challenging sector."

Now in its fifth year the Housing Innovation Awards celebrate new ways of working in an increasingly tough environment highlighting examples of inventive and original schemes and services.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden on 18 February 2016.
