Top prize awarded to our HR team
We are delighted to announce that our HR team have scooped a top prize for this year’s industry leading 2017 CIPD People Management Awards.
The team won the title of ‘Best Reward Initiative’ for our employee reward strategy that recognises employee skills, behaviours and performances at an individual, team or organisational level.
This is a huge achievement for the team as the CIPD People Management Awards are considered to be the most prestigious in the industry, celebrating outstanding achievements of Human Resources and Learning and Development professionals across the UK.

Baljinder led the HR team to develop our new reward strategy against a backdrop of changing government policy that saw a new approach to staff sickness, the implementation of a new online benefits platform and contributed towards an overall improvement of the business.
The judges said the Midland Heart team demonstrated clear alignment between need and reward response, with a holistic approach that covered both financial and non-financial aspects, strong staff consultation and a clear action plan for future challenges.
Over 930 HR and L&D professionals attended the awards ceremony which took place on 26th September at the iconic Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London and was hosted by comedian Rory Bremner.
