Bloomin' Good Show
The Partnership between St Eugene’s court and Spring to Life has blossomed with three customers regularly helping out at the Spring to Life allotment each week.
Green fingered Patrick McCole, Noel Phelan and David Kelly created the fabulous hanging baskets in the atrium at the service Digbeth and continue to tend to them.
Spring to Life, a community interest company, works alongside Mental Health and other services delivering a variety of therapies to promote wellbeing. St Eugene’s customers have taken part in massage, reading for wellbeing, visits to nature and gardening.
Geoff Lowe, team leader at St Eugene’s court said: ‘We are very grateful to Spring to Life for its continued support. The work they do is making such a difference to the well being of our customers.
“This was recently acknowledged by a family member of one of our customers who was so delighted how well her brother was doing due to his involvement in tending to the flowers in the atrium and helping out on the allotments that she made a financial donation.”
“After consulting with our customers, a water feature was purchased and that has added to ambience in the atrium”
