Chartered town planner appointed to advise on strategic development
We have appointed chartered town planner Abigaile Bromfield to our finance and new business committee.
Ms Bromfield, Midlands Planning Associate Director at ARUP joins the committee to support our delivery of new, much-needed affordable homes in the Midlands.
“Abigaile has been appointed to give us an expert view on the Committee, to help us foster the right strategic relationships and realise our long term new build ambitions,” explained our chief executive Glenn Harris.
“We plan to invest £450 million in delivering new affordable homes across the West Midlands region over the next five years, and Ms Bromfield’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that we have the expertise needed to deliver.”
Abigaile is a qualified town planner and mediator with a mix of public and private sector experience particularly in residential development. She was seconded to the Cabinet Office Implementation Unit for the Prime Minister in 2014-16 to advise on improving the implementation of housing and development related policies.
She said: “I am really pleased to be appointed to the committee and support Midland Heart to meet these ambitious development aspirations.”
As a leading housing provider we work in partnership with a wide range of building contractors, local authorities and Homes England to commission the development of new affordable homes.
