Firsbrook House’s 1st Birthday

Firsbrook 1st Birthday Fete

Firsbrook House, a sheltered housing service that helps customers with long and enduring mental health needs move back into the community, celebrated its first birthday this month. To commemorate the day they held a summer fete for customers and staff from across Wolverhampton.

The summer fete was a huge success with over 120 people attending. Guests enjoyed a number of traditional fete activities including hook a duck, raffle, tombola and a barbeque. Other stalls from the local community such as Healthy Lifestyles, Tettenhall Fire Service, Recovery Near You and the police, gave support and advice to guests on safety and wellbeing.

While everyone had a fantastic time, lots of money was also raised for charity, some of which will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society. Sandra Russon, the Service Manager at Firsbrook said “A brilliant event – it was lovely to see so many people helping us to celebrate our 1st birthday.  It enabled us to give something back to our local community, and raise money for charity at the same time!”
