Partnership provides new affordable homes in Nuneaton

Queen Elizabeth Road Nuneaton

Our new affordable housing scheme in Queen Elizabeth Road has helped to address the need for new housing in the Camp Hill area of Nuneaton by transforming former derelict land.

The £4.9m project is a result of a successful partnership between Midland Heart, house builder Westleigh and Bedworth Borough Council.

Funded through the Homes and Communities Agency’s Affordable Housing Programme, with further private investment provided by Midland Heart the development provides 45 new homes for rent comprising a mix of one and two bedroom apartments and two bedroom homes.

Carl Larter, our director of assets said, “This scheme is another example of our positive partnership with Westleigh, delivering much needed homes for local people. This is a great scheme which combines eco-friendly modern design with a mix of both one and two bed accommodation. All units are now occupied, fulfilling the needs of the local community.”

Gino Siani, head of new business for the West Midlands, at Westleigh, commented, “These new homes have come to fruition as a result of a great working partnership which has allowed us to build a diverse mix of properties on a disused site that would have otherwise lain dormant. It has been made possible thanks to continuous support from the borough council, funding from the HCA as well as private investment from Midland Heart and we are very grateful to all our partners for being involved.”
