Saltbrook Place provides a welcoming and friendly home environment with support for homeless people who have a connection with the Dudley area.
The building has 58 flats, 34 of which can house couples as well as single people. We have 7 flats with dog kennels that allow customers to have their dog on site.
Our customer group is very diverse as homelessness can affect a wide spectrum of people. The service is for men and women over the age of 18 We believe that we have the skills and access to services that enable us to support people with some particular needs, including mental health, offending behaviour and drug and alcohol use.
We complete a risk & needs assessment and affordability assessment before an offer of accommodation is made to ensure what we offer is appropriate for the individual. All our customers have a key worker who is their main point of contact for their support needs. However, we do have a team of staff who provide a 24 hour rota.
The longest that someone can stay at the service is 2 years. However, we would aim to prepare someone for move on long before that. Our main focus is to work with our customers to enable them to gain the skills they need to move on to independent living. Providing a safe and secure environment is the first step in that journey.
Our Engagement Team assist with a range of learning opportunities including managing your money, keeping healthy, basic DIY, getting into employment, education, or training and advice on benefits.
On site we have a laundry, gym, IT suite, 3 meeting rooms (available for hire), a well being room and a kitchen kitted out to commercial standards
