• Supported Living

Our homes give you more than just a safe and secure place to live

Supported Living

Supported Living provides a safe environment for you to develop your skills to help you live independently. We’ll work closely with you to understand your needs and create a plan to help you meet your individual goals. The maximum time you will stay in our schemes is 2 years.

Young people (aged 16-25)

Our programme for young people offers support to gain the skills required to move on to independent living. Staff at our schemes can help with new skills like:

  • Budgeting skills
  • Accessing local doctors / dentists
  • Employment
  • Education
  • Training opportunities
  • Other life skills

To access our Young Persons programme referrals for accommodation are processed via the St. Basil’s Birmingham Youth Hub Gateway. They will assess your needs and signpost to the most appropriate accommodation service. You can also self-refer, or we accept referrals from other agencies.

Families

Our Family Service is for families or expectant mothers who need housing or tenancy support. We work closely with agencies to support you. The aim of our schemes is to provide a temporary home that gives you and your family an opportunity to increase your housing options and to secure independent accommodation.

Mental Health Services

Our Mental Health Services help you to gain valuable skills to move on to Independent Living. The maximum stay at one of our schemes is 5 years however, our aim is for you to move on long before this, with dedicated support to help you do that. Our Mental Health Schemes will provide you with a safe and secure environment while you're living with us.

Homelessness

Our Homelessness service is for men and women over the age of 18.

Before we make an offer of support and to make sure we're giving you the best possible service, we'll complete a risk and needs assessment along with an affordability assessment. You'll have a key worker who'll be your main point of contact for your support and accommodation needs. We also have a team on site, providing a 24 hour service.

The longest stay at one of our schemes would be 2 years however, we'll aim to prepare you for a move long before that. Our main focus is to work with you to help you gain valuable skills you'll need to move onto Independent Living.

Our Engagement Team assist with a range of learning opportunities including managing your money, keeping healthy, basic DIY, getting into employment, education, or training and advice on benefits.
