Midland Heart up for double honours at Housing Excellence Awards

DiallerMidland Heart is delighted to be named as finalist in two categories at this year’s Housing Excellence Awards.

We have been shortlisted for awards in ‘Best Tenant Support/Advice Programme’ and ‘Best IT System’.

Best Tenant Support Advice ProgrammeThe nomination for ‘Best Tenant Support/Advice Programme’ recognises our money advice service who work closely with customers facing exceptional challenges and changes from the introduction of the bedroom tax, benefit cap and universal credit. 

This revolutionary free service provides guidance to those struggling to maintain their tenancies, supporting customers who often face a range of health and welfare challenges. Our service also includes help with claiming benefits, applying for reconsiderations and attending tribunals.

Best IT SystemThe shortlisting for ‘Best IT System’ recognises our proactive solution to address the impact of Universal Credit by introducing a new bespoke phone dialler system. 

Working in partnership with rostrvm for Housing, we developed an outbound dialling system that links into our arrears escalation process to automate increased contact with customers by phone and text message.

This innovative approach is helping to support customers sustain their tenancies and preventing issues such as rent arrears becoming unmanageable.

Gary Hardy our Director of Housing Operations said, “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted in two separate categories at this year’s Housing Excellence awards.

“This recognition is fully deserved by all of our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to help transform the lives of our customers through their hard work. We will be looking forward to the announcement of the winners on 25 May.”

Winners will be announced in a ceremony at The Principle, Manchester on 25 May 2017.
