Fit for an Award
Our Human Resources team is celebrating being shortlisted for a prestigious national people management award for the second year running.
The team is up for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s HR/LD Team of the Year title, which recognises excellence in meeting both the needs of an organisation’s business and its people.
Midland Heart is the sole housing association nominated in this category, and is up against teams from two universities, an IT company and brewing, telecommunications and motor dealership household names.
Baljinder Kang, Executive Director of HR, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to be nominated for Team of the Year and it is thoroughly deserved. Our entry, Fit for the Future, charts how we rose to the many people challenges we faced to enable the successful implementation of the organisation’s Corporate Plan 2016-2020.
“Our response included ensuring our colleagues were at the heart of every project stream and process and that communication, consultation and feedback were key to our future.
“I am so proud of the team and how hard everyone worked and continues to work throughout this significant period of cultural change and organisational development.”
The CIPD is one of the industry’s leading professional bodies, setting standards for human resources and people development and its annual People Management Awards are much-coveted accolades.
Our team will now go before a panel of judges on July 3, with the winning team announced at the awards ceremony in London on September 25.
