New Year, new start for Cash’s Lane

Cash 's Lane Event

Over the festive break our teams joined forces with Coventry City Council and local residents to clear up the area around Cash’s Lane and Kirby Close and to promote recycling.

Midland Heart place officers and ranger team came out in force to catch up with local residents, organise bins and a litter pick, and collect large items of abandoned rubbish.

Housing Management Team Leader for Place - Outer Regions, Jason King said: “We would like to thank all of the residents and our partners who took part in the event and who spent time talking to us, we really value your feedback.

“2018 has bought a fresh start for Cash’s Lane and Kirby Close and it was wonderful to find so many tenants keen to start recycling and on board with the big clean up.”

The event was also an Flytippingopportunity to promote the benefits of recycling and encourage residents to recycle their unwanted items and rubbish.

A local resident said: “It was great to see the community coming together to look after the area, the estate is looking clean and tidy ready to start the New Year.”
