Northampton MP praises our work at Oasis House for homeless people
Andrew Lewer, MP for Northampton South, has written very positively about his recent visit to Oasis House, our purpose-built accommodation for homeless men and women.
Mr Lewer asked to visit Oasis House to see for himself the facilities we provide and the work we do in collaboration with partner agencies.
The article is published in the February edition of the Northampton magazine NN Pulse. He writes of his Oasis House visit: “I cannot tell you how impressed I was by the dedication and professionalism of the staff there; not only do they pick up the pieces of those lives almost destroyed by homelessness, they also help get people ready for the next stage of their lives and back into a place they can call home.”
He then goes on to say he is planning a visit to Northampton Council’s emergency night shelter for homeless men and that in the past year over 250 men have stayed there with more than 180 successfully moved into more settled housing.
