We wish you a merry Christmas

Christmas Competitions 19/12/2023

RL Christmas

As we’re only a few days away from the big day itself, we thought it would be a great time to round up our Christmas activity and showcase what you’ve all been up to!

We also wanted to remind you that our offices will be closed from Friday 22nd December at 6pm until Tuesday 2nd January 2024. During this time, you can report routine repairs using our tenant app or report any emergencies to our out of hours service by calling 0345 60 20 540.

Now, for the fun stuff...

Our cracking competitions

We had a whopping 95 entries into our Find the Elf competition this December, well done for tracking down those pesky little things! Loads of you also answered the weekly riddles that burst out of our Christmas crackers - we were seriously impressed.

To top it off, we had some great entries for our festive photos competition…you can see our winner and runner up in the gallery below!

Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to everyone for getting involved and joining in with our festive fun.

Elf on the Shelf

Some of our colleagues had a helping hand this December…from our naughty Elves! We got lots of photos of them pitching in (and causing chaos) out and about with our Rangers, Estates Officers, Tenancy Services Officers and across our Retirement Living schemes.

Check out the photos of them getting up to mischief below.

Getting into the Christmas spirit

We had lots of our schemes getting into the festive spirit this year, and were really pleased to see so many of you getting involved!

Berryhill Village hosted a Christmas-theme clay modelling class, where they created a range of different decorations to bake and hang, from gingerbread people to Christmas trees and baubles. They also hosted a Christmas fair, with over 25 different stalls and a local accordion band from Stoke-on-Trent. The event raised an incredible £800!

Bevan Court decorated their scheme with an 8 foot tree and got their residents stuck into Christmas crafts, making their own cards and decorations!

Willowbrook hosted an afternoon of art and Christmas-themed poetry, as part of the Willowbrook Creative Club project. The residents got creative with some wonderful stencilling work and created beautifully themed Christmas cards.

Pine Court were visited by the Wednesfield Rainbows and Brownies who entertained them with some lovely Christmas songs and encouraged everyone to join in with a sing-a-long.

Terryspring Court hosted an exciting Christmas auction, where everyone could get involved and bid on gifts for their family and friends – there were definitely some bargains to be had! Terryspring residents also hosted a Christmas fair and invited lots of vendors to take part so there was a lovely range of stalls, from confectionary to arts and crafts.

Bushfield Court residents went on a day out to the Hollybush Garden Centre and ended the afternoon with a spot of Christmas shopping and a festive lunch.

Thanks to everyone who has joined in with our festive activities this year and for sending in your photos, we love to see them! We wish you all a happy, safe and peaceful festive season.
