A couple of weeks ago, Camella our Involved Tenant joined Jess, our Head of Tenant Insight, to discuss what successful tenant engagement looks like, at the National Housing Event in Manchester.
Camella, one our Involved Tenants, recently took centre stage at the National Housing Event, joining a panel discussion on 'Finding success through resident engagement'. During the session she shared her experiences of getting involved, helping to shape our services and making sure tenants voices are heard.
It was a proud moment to see Camella representing Midland Heart tenants on a national stage and showing the positive impact that involved tenants can have.
Camella has been an Involved Tenant since 2007 and along with our other Involved Tenants, has helped us to create My Voice - our tenant engagement network, giving it a face and structure.
It's important for us that you have as many ways as possible to get involved and get your voice heard which is why we created My Voice. We want to make it easy and rewarding to become an Involved Tenant, and with this, our commitment is to put our tenants at the heart of everything we do.
There are many ways that you can get involved with zero commitment, just join in when it suits you. One of the most recent and exciting changes to the My Voice programme is, My Team. This new group gives you the opportunity to sit on our interview panels for new colleagues, so you get to have a say in who we hire and why.
