Safe in your home: How we’re continuing to tackle ASB

Taking our efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) further

Two weeks ago, we marked ASB Awareness Week by sharing how we’re working with partners to create safer communities. Since then, our Chief Executive, Glenn Harris, has taken that message to Parliament, representing the housing sector at the national launch of ASB Awareness Week 2026.

The event, hosted by community safety organisation, Resolve, was held at the House of Commons. It brought together housing providers, police, fire services, government representatives and support organisations to focus on one shared goal: making communities safer for the people who live in them.

Speaking at the launch, Glenn highlighted what many of you have told us: feeling safe in your home matters most to you. ASB issues, such as constant noise, threatening behaviour, drug-related activity, harassment and intimidation can leave you feeling unsafe in your neighbourhood.

How we support you with ASB

What happens when you report ASB to us

We know ASB can be upsetting and distressing. When you report it to us, we’ll listen, look at your individual circumstances and agree the best next steps with you. In some cases, our trained officers will work with you to gather evidence, speak to those involved, and work with partners such as the police or local authority to get you the right help.

How we handle your ASB reports

Making communities safer for the people who live in them

As part of our work to improve how ASB is dealt with nationally, we’ve helped to create the All-Party Parliamentary Group on ASB, which brings together MPs, landlords and community safety partners to look at how we can best tackle ASB.

Through this work, we’re asking for changes that would make a real difference for residents, including specialist housing courts to help housing-related cases move through the system better.

Need to report ASB?

If you’re experiencing ASB, please tell us. We’re here to support you. Include as much detail as you can about what happened, when and where it happened, who was involved, whether there were witnesses and how it has affected you. By reporting ASB and working with us, you’re helping us to create safer communities for everyone.
