Am I eligible?

You may be eligible for Shared Ownership with Midland Heart if:

You have a gross household income of no more than £80,000 per annum.

You are unable to purchase a suitable home to meet your housing needs on the open market.

You do not already own a home or you will have sold your current home before you purchase.

You have cash funds to purchase an initial share or the ability to raise a mortgage for the share. You will need a minimum 5% deposit for a 95% mortgage.

Have been in continuous employment for at least 12 months (if you require mortgage).

If you are Self employed, you are able to provide 2 years full accounts.

You must be ready to proceed with a purchase in the next 12-15 weeks.

Have a good credit history* including:

  • No outstanding CCJ’s or defaults that remain outstanding
  • No history of rent arrears
  • No Debt Management plans, IVA’s or bankruptcy that remains outstanding
