We champion 16-25 year olds, helping them to follow their dreams and achieve independent living. Our experienced staff focus on encouraging young people to find the courage to openly expand their biggest ideas and plan for the future.
Whatever your circumstances, our services are more than just providing you with a safe and secure home. We focus on helping customers learn the skills needed to set up and maintain a home. For example, this might cover education training and employment, developing your confidence, managing money, or access to specialist services to help you reconnect with your family.
We also offer support in your own home across Birmingham through our floating support service. This supports 16-25 year olds in Birmingham who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Support is time-limited and can include; accessing accommodation, money and debt management, independent living skills, accessing or sustaining education, training or employment. Access to this service is through St Basil’s Youth Hub and self-referrals can be accepted.
Young Persons Floating Support
The Young Persons Floating Support service assists those aged 16-25 in a variety of areas including budgeting, life skills, managing behaviour and much more. We can help you if you are:
- In your own accommodation and require support
- Homeless or facing homelessness
- Not in education, training or employment
- Currently facing hardship

The Youthline is a helpline provided in partnership with five different local housing agencies and Birmingham City Council. It is the first point of call for young people in Birmingham to access any of St Basils Birmingham services.
During office hours (9am-5pm, Monday -Friday) trained and experienced Youthline staff will ask a few questions to understand the situation you are in and take some key details from you, then invite you to attend an appointment at the Youth Hub for a more detailed individual assessment of your housing needs as well as advice and help accessing the options available to you.
You must have an appointment to come to the Youth Hub, please call Youthline to arrange this. If you are in urgent need of help, Youthline can arrange a same day appointment for you. Please be aware depending on your age and circumstances, you may need to have several different assessments on the same day.
If you just turn up you must be prepared for what could be a long wait so please always book an appointment through Youthline.
