Having heard your feedback we understand that “The Leasehold Team” did not best reflect or represent everyone in this regard. Taking your suggestions on board, we have changed our name to The Homeownership Team. We still cover all things related to leasehold, shared ownership, right to buy/right to acquire and a portfolio of commercial lets and are here to listen to your feedback, answer any questions you may have and make sure you receive a brilliant service in your home

Homeownership and Commercial Team

We’re made up of six Homeownership Officers, one Leasehold Property Officer (agency and commercial), one Right to Buy and Resales Officer, two Administrators, a Homeownership and Commercial Manager and a Head of Homeownership and Commercial Property.

The team cover all things related to leasehold, shared ownership, right to buy/right to acquire and a portfolio of commercial lettings.

Housing Advice Team

In addition to the Leasehold and Shared Ownership Team, we have a specialist team within our Hub called the Housing Advice Team. They can help you with all things leasehold and shared ownership, including:

  • Staircasing
  • Lease extensions
  • Antisocial behaviour
  • Right to Buy
  • Right to Acquire
  • Resales
  • General enquiries
  • Service charge queries

Who do I contact about my home?

If your enquiry relates to a repair, please report this directly to our Hub team on 0345 60 20 540. 

For all other enquiries, our Housing Advice Team will be happy to support you, and you can ask for them when you call us. They are best placed to help in the first instance, as our Homeownership Officers may be out and about on their patch.

If your query is complex, the Housing Advice Team will refer you to the Homeownership Officer, who will be able to support you further.

If you are looking to sell your property, please email the Resales Officers on resales@midlandheart.org.uk. You can also send Right to Buy and Right to Enquire queries to this email address.

What if I am not happy about the service I am receiving?

We always want to make sure you get the best service from us. However, if you tell us you’re unhappy with any part of the service we’ve provided you with, you can make a complaint here. We’ll make sure we get this to the right person to support you.
