There are lots of ways to get involved with giving us your feedback and suggestions. Whether you can spare a few minutes to fill in a survey or a few hours to come along to a community event, we really appreciate you helping us to improve our services.
We also run customer groups. Those groups and their meetings are crucial to making sure we’re doing the right thing by our customers.
What is the My Impact customer group?
Our My Impact customer group oversees all of the other projects and meetings our involved customers take part in.
They work closely with the Customer Scrutiny team to make sure departments all across the business are listening to your feedback and using it to shape the services we offer.
In meetings, the My Impact group usually:
- Discuss how we’re gathering feedback from as many customers as possible
- Review data about key service areas, such as complaints, and challenge us about our performance
- Monitor our progress against agreed action plans, which have been developed through other customer-led projects
We’re always looking for new customers to try out My Impact, so the group can be representative of our whole customer base. You don’t need any particular skills or experience – all we ask is that you’re curious, keen to help us improve, and able to think about the wider picture as well as your personal experiences.
Being involved will take up about five hours of your time every two months.
Will getting involved benefit me?
In return for joining our customer groups, we’ll make sure you get the most out of being involved. As well as having the chance to give us your feedback and make a real difference, we offer training sessions to help you develop your own skills and will connect you with our wider community of involved customers.
We’re also happy to write character references and will refund any expenses you incur as part of being an involved customer.
