As we’ve recently relaunched our My Voice framework, we wanted to introduce you to some of our new groups! This week we’re introducing you to…My Ideas.
My Ideas is designed to do what it says on the tin! It includes a range of different groups that are designed to attract a lot of different tenants, based on what you’re interested in and what’s important to you.
There are some more in-depth groups that focus on a particular service area and are designed to make sure you can really help us improve the services you receive.
My Ideas meetings generally have a standard agenda item to look at trends, performance, updates to processes and to help us to shape what we’re doing. They allow us to learn from what you’re telling us, make changes based on your feedback and allow us to track the progress of this group through regular meetings.
We might bring a piece of work back at different stages of completion to see how it’s progressing, if this meets the expectations of the panel and if you feel your views have been adequately taken on board.
An example of one of our groups is the Communications group, where a panel of tenants meet with our Communications Team and discuss upcoming plans of how we want to communicate with our tenants, review our engagement plans and look at how effective our engagement is.
In this group they have recently reviewed our Gas inspection letters and made changes to make sure they are worded in a way that tenants are clear on what they need to do – a great example of tenant led change. They have also reviewed our Tenant Communications Strategy as well as our recently plan to relaunch My Voice, to make sure that we’re focusing on the aspects that are important to you.
We run a range of My Ideas groups including Complaints Learning, Repairs, Damp and Mould, Shared Ownership and Procurement to name a few!
If you’re interested in hearing about our plans to make services better and want to help shape these improvements…then this group is for you!
We want to hear from tenants who have experienced our services and who want to work with us to make this better, ask questions and challenge when we get things wrong.
This group will give you an insight into how the business operates and how tenants are at the heart of shaping everything we do.
You’ll be able to contribute your ideas and change how we deliver services to you. It’s really rewarding and gives you a great insight into the different areas of our organisation and how everything we do impacts our tenants.
Any one is welcome to get involved; you don’t need any previous experience being on tenant panels - just some enthusiasm to help us change for the better!
If you’re interested, please contact our Tenant Scrutiny Team on customerscrutiny@midlandheart.org.uk and we’d love to tell you more. You can also visit our My Voice webpage for more information about all the different ways you can get involved.
