We carry out surveys of communal trees approximately every 3 years, and if we find anything wrong, we'll fix it.

We're only responsible for specific trees, these are:

  • Trees in communal areas
  • Trees that have fallen or are causing a danger to a person or property in a non-communal area

If we find, or are told about any dangerous trees, they'll become a priority for us.

  • A tree or trees that have fallen onto a building or vehicle and have caused actual damage.
  • A branch or branches that have broken off from the main trunk at close proximity to a building, structure, pedestrian zone or roadway, that have a genuine potential to cause physical damage or harm.
  • A tree that is being blown violently in the wind, and is shedding light material such as leaves, twigs and small branches, that would not cause actual damage.
  • A tree that has fallen at the end of a garden or is over 5 metres from a building, structure, pedestrian zone or roadway may not be an emergency, if there is no risk to person or building. Acorn will assess the pictures & will prioritise the work accordingly.
