Keeping your outdoor spaces clean and safe is really important to us. Our grounds maintenance operatives want you to make the most of enjoying your green spaces, by keeping them safe, tidy, welcoming and well cared for. Here's how you can help us to help you.

Why grounds maintenance matters

Grounds maintenance is more than just cutting grass. Our team helps create safe and beautiful outdoor spaces where everyone can feel proud of where they live.

Our grounds maintenance operatives carry out everything from mowing and strimming to hedge trimming, leaf collecting, litter picking and more to keep your paths clear and communal spaces looking their best.

With a little help from you, we can make sure every visit runs smoothly and efficiently, leaving you feeling happy outdoors.

How you can help us to help you

To help our operatives work safely and make the most of every grounds maintenance visit they make, we kindly ask that you follow a few simple steps before they arrive:

  • Allow access please make sure our teams can get to where they need to work. Leave gates open on the day of your scheduled visit where possible and safe, as this can help avoid missed visits or delays.
  • Clear away obstructions – remove toys, bikes and outdoor furniture from lawns, paths or access routes in communal gardens. Make sure to ask friends or family to help with this if needed.
  • Clean up dog foul – please do this in advance to protect our operatives and their equipment. If our operatives come across dog fouling, they may not be able to complete their work.
  • Say hello! A wave, a thank you, or simply giving them space to work is always appreciated by our operatives.

These small actions make a big difference to everyone in your community using these outdoor spaces, and to our operatives working to make them a better space for you.

Your support matters

We really appreciate your help and look forward to working with you to create green spaces that positively impact your mental and physical wellbeing, and neighbourhoods you’re proud to call home.

If you’re unhappy with any of the grounds maintenance services, please speak to your Estates Officer, orlet our Hub team know.
