The Tenancy Services team makes sure our tenants are safe and happy in their homes. The team recently underwent a restructure, so we wanted to give you a recap on the work they do and how they’re here to help you.
What does the Tenancy Services team do?
The Tenancy Services team work together to help you feel happy, safe and comfortable in your home. Some of the team’s key responsibilities include:
- Dealing with antisocial behaviour
- Looking after safeguarding cases
- Investigating tenancy fraud
- Supporting victims of domestic abuse
- Building strong partnerships with the police and local agencies
- Dealing with tenancy-related matters (breaches, hoarding, no access etc).
Get to know the team
Led by our Head of Tenancy and Safer Neighbourhoods, the Tenancy Services team focus on:
- Dealing with distressing issues such as antisocial behaviour, hate crime incidents, and domestic abuse.
- Managing tenancy-related matters such as noise complaints, untidy gardens, hoarding, tenancy breaches and fraud, no access cases, and restorative justice.
- Helping you with changes to your tenancy, such as a mutual exchange (if you want to swap homes), successions (if a tenancy needs to be passed on to someone else), or a bereavement.
- Keeping everyone safe by handling safeguarding cases and out-of-hours CCTV monitoring.
Reflecting on her role, Tenancy Services Officer, Shaniki (pictured above), said:
"My role is very varied, and no two days look the same. I really enjoy helping tenants and feel most satisfied when I get the best outcome for them."

- 59 injunctions secured to tackle tenancy issues.

Keeping our communities safe
Our CCTV hub has been a major success, helping us to work closely with the police and environmental health to capture incidents and keep you safe. Our support for ASB Awareness Week has continued to strengthen our commitment to tackling antisocial behaviour alongside our partners.
Supporting and protecting tenants
- We appointed a dedicated Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator, Regan, to provide tenants with expert support and safety planning.
- Our Restorative Justice Officer, Lauren, resolved disputes between neighbours that led to action plans our tenants were satisfied with.
- Our Fraud Officer, Al, successfully investigated tenancy fraud cases to make sure our homes go to those in genuine need.
