Happy Halloween from ‘Scaremaker’ Court!
Customers at Shoemaker Court, Rushden were in for a treat (not trick!) this Halloween as their annual Halloween party was taken over by Hogwarts’ wandering workshop!
Children (Muggles) were invited to the workshop via hand delivered parchment from Hogwarts and were told to dress to impress.
The party included a banquet of Harry Potter inspired treats including colour themed cupcakes, butterbeer fudge, Gringotts Bank chocolate coins, Golden Snitch truffles and potion cocktails!
There was a ‘potter props’ selfie section, a wand making crafts table, a sorting hat to sort the children into their houses, a point scoring quidditch game, a ‘guess how many house points’ game (with four sweet jars to win!) and who would pass up a game of find the golden snitch?!
All of the children and adults dressed up in their finest Halloween outfits and a few were awarded best costume prizes.
Night Support Worker, Claire Allen, said: “We had an amazing time at the party and at our other Halloween themed events; Halloween bingo, witches' brew cocktail making class, Halloween movie night and Halloween arts and crafts.”
